The chemical was introduced by Monsanto in 1974 as an effective way of killing weeds while leaving crops and plants intact.The France-based International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is part of the World Health Organization, classified it as a “probable human carcinogen” in 2015. The EU’s food safety agency had paved the way for the 10-year extension when it said in July it “did not identify critical areas of concern” in the use of glyphosate. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency found in 2020 that the herbicide did not pose a health risk to people, but a federal appeals court in California ordered the agency last year to reexamine that ruling, saying it wasn’t supported by enough evidence.EU member states are responsible for authorizing the use of products including the chemical on their national markets, following a safety evaluation.In France, President Emmanuel Macron had committed to ban glyphosate before 2021 but has since backpedaled. Germany, the EU's biggest economy, plans to stop using it from next year, but the decision could be challenged. Luxembourg’s national ban, for instance, was overturned in court earlier this year.Greenpeace had called on the EU to reject the market reapproval, citing studies indicating that glyphosate may cause cancer and other health problems and could also be toxic to bees. 四 | 这场“借船出海”，到了必须“正名”的时刻，与其继续在模糊地带纠缠，不如趁此机会努力打出自己的旗号。换招牌只是结果，功夫其实下在了前头。2023年，青海就出台《关于促进青海拉面产业高质量发展的指导意见》，明确推行“三店合一”模式，注册“青海拉面”区域公用品牌，将拉面经营店、特色农畜产品展销店、大美青海宣传店融为一体。顾客进店除了吃面，还能买到牦牛肉、青稞饼干、循化辣椒等青海特产。《青海拉面品质指南》《青海拉面区域品牌培育与建设指南》等地方标准相继发布，从汤料用什么骨头熬、辣椒油用什么品种炼，到品牌怎么建、怎么管，都有明确规范。一碗面，联结起餐饮、农业和文旅3个产业。与此同时，这碗面的“正名”背后，还藏着更大的产业发展目标。2025年2月，青海推出省级区域公共品牌“青海家宴”，覆盖食材供应、特色餐饮、线上销售等环节，将牦牛藏羊、青稞藜麦、祁连黄菇等高原优质食材串联成一套完整的产业图谱。“青海拉面”正是这张产业图谱上一个亮眼的入口，不只是换一块招牌，更是要以一碗面为支点，推动青海特色农产品和文旅资源走向全国乃至世界。
五 | 从借名求生到立名图强，青海拉面走了条不短的路。近40年前，青海人靠一碗面走出了大山；如今，这碗面正融入省级区域公共品牌，希望能带着高原的原生态食材和多民族的文化底蕴，走向更远、走得更好。
